This post compares the CD 132 SCA No. 2 telegraph insulator found on the Chicago Northwestern RR in Boone Co., IA [click here] with the CD 132 Pat App For No. 2 that was found in the 1970's on the Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific Railroad which ran though Polk Co., Iowa on the Southern side of West Des Moines [click here]. Specific details on the back of these two insulators are as follows: CD-132 Patent /Dec.19-1871 (Front Dome) - Large Script 2 (Back Dome - No Mold Number) - Light Smokey Grey SCA (Crude With Bubbles / Microbubbles /Overpour) - Measurements: 75 mm Wide x 110 mm Height. (Left Insulator) CD-132 Pat App For (Front Skirt) Large Script 2 (Back Skirt) - Beautiful Teal Blue - Crude With Bubbles and Micro-bubbles - Measurements: 77 mm Wide x 110 mm Height.
