This post starts a series of posts on CD 132 early Hemingray No. 2 telegraph bullets that were found between 1973 and 1975 on the Chicago Northwestern Railroad as it ran West out of Boone, Iowa and crossed the Des Moines River toward Ogden, Iowa. Probably 15 to 20 CD 132 No. 2 bullets were found in colors including: light SCA, sapphire blue, sage green, lime green and various shades of aqua blue. This post shows the back of the light SCA bullet - this was a one of a kind find and is one of my favorite insulators. Details are as follows:

CD-132 Patent /Dec.19-1871 (Front Dome) - Large Script 2 (Back Dome - No Mold Number) - Light Smokey Grey SCA (Bubbles / Microbubbles) - Measurements: 75 mm Wide x 110 mm Height.

The front of this insulator is shown in the following post: [id=613951585]

The following post shows the two track railroad bridge that goes over scenic Des Moines River Valley.
