My grandparents (on my dads side) lived South of New Freedom, PA very close to the Pennsylvania - Maryland historic Mason & Dixon line in York Co. PA. In late June 1972, Hurricane Agnes hit this area and intense flooding occurred. My grandparents home is several hundred yards from the Northern Central Railroad track which runs from Washington, DC to Baltimore, MD and on through York, PA to Lake Ontario in upstate New York. The railroad in this area suffered major flooding damage which washed out track grades and embankments.

In November 1972, my parents visited my grandparents in PA. During the week they were there, my mother (June Manthi Kesling) took daily walks on the Northern Central railroad track. On one of her walks, my mother found this CD 729 threadless insulator. Details on this insulator are as follows:

CD-729 No Embossing - MLOD / Button Mold - Deep Orange Amber - Measurements: 75 mm Wide x 97 mm High.

My mother had seen my Georgia insulator collection several times and was aware that threadless insulators are the holy grail for collectors. Needless to say I received an amazing Christmas gift. The next year (1973) my mother - on one of her walks - found two additional CD 732 no embossing threadless insulators that has washed out of the Northern Central RR embankment .
