I thought it might be of interest to compare the three different CD 133.2 insulators that I have in my telegraph signal collection. Specific detals are as follows: CD-133.2 No Embossing - MLOD - No Glass Button Under Dome - Clean Glass /Blue Aqua with Greenish tint - Measured 73 mm Wide x 96 mm Tall. (So Called Canadian Style) CD-133.2 No Embossing - MLOD - Glass Button Under Dome - Crude Blue Aqua - Measured 75 mm Wide x 105 mm Tall. It was interesting to note that there was a 12 mm high (3/8 ") cavity above the insulator threads. To me, this looked like a typical American Insulator / Oakman cavity above the threads. CD-133.2 L.A.C. / Patd July 25th 1865 /P&W - Button MLOD - Crude Rich Blue - Measuerments are: 74 mm Wide x 105mm Tall It is of interest to note that the USA found CD 133.2 No Embossing compares favorably in height with the USA CD 133.2 P&W style while the Canadian variant is shorter and has a slightly difference dome and skirt profile.
