Kosciusko County, Indiana I usually don't take random pictures, let alone post pictures of modern day transmission lines except for two reasons in this shot. One - The very large and unique line surge arresters that hang from the insulators instead of the pylon tower with the ground wire going to the pylon tower. Two - Some nice fall foliage colors which I was out shooting for on this day. This transmission line is a carrier for 765,000 volts (765 KV) the most for United States by AEP. |
