During the period between 1969 to 1972, I made seven trips to hunt insulators on the Central of Georgia Railway telegraph line which ran East from Macon, Georgia to Savanna, Georgia. The following sections were hunted including: Rocky Ford, GA (West); Rocky Ford, GA (East) toward Dover, GA; and Dover, GA toward Halcyondale, GA (both West & East). Highway 17 tracks the Central of Georgia Railway line East toward Savanna, GA.

This post shows one of the many CD 133 insulators that were found on these sections of the central of Georgia Railway telegraph line. The unique features on this CD 133 w. Brookfield is the very large embossing and the base rim over pour.

Embossing for the CD 133 Brookfield is as follows:

CD-133 W BROOKFIELD (Arched) / 3 / 55 FULTON ST / N.Y. (Front) CAUVET'S (Arched) / PAT /JULY 25 1865 (Back) MLOD nice Blue-Aqua Color

This insulator looks crude and "early". This is a picture of the back - note the amber swirls and the carbon trail in the glass
