Another transposition found in Georgia in 1969 were CD 202 Fred M Lock Victor NY (Front) No. 14 / Pat May 22 1894. They were all a medium teal green with a smooth base and were found on a 15 to 20 mile section of the Central of Georgia Railway between Leesburg and Forrester Station, Georgia in small numbers. This section starts at the junction of 19 and 195 - head south on 19. Take any local road or logging road (East Side) as you head south toward Albany, GA. This section of the telegraph line is off the main road and has only four tier of cross bars versus the five tiers found on the Northern sections of the Central of Georgia railway line. In 1969, this line still had significant numbers of CD 154 WT No. 1 in purple; CD 145 W. Brookfield, B, and a moderate number of HG's in aqua; and various CD 133's and CD 134's - all typical of this line. I'll post pictures of the front, back, and a side-by-side comparison with a CD 202 Hemingray No. 14. |
