Here's an odd Canadian east-coast item. Piles of these Lima U-133s were used in Canada's east-coast provinces, mainly Nova Scotia, on telephone lines. Most don't have this degree of character. This one has a severely crooked wire groove with much shallower depth on one side than on the other. As well, it has some creases and dents in the porcelain and a few light spots in the glaze on the crown. It also has an odd light blue/bubbly spot in the glaze within the wire groove on one side. Just a bizarre piece. Condition is good on this one with just three tiny lower wire ridge flakes on one side. It displays very well with most of the character going on on the good side. I'm asking $15 USD plus shipping for this one. I'm always happy to trade for early Canadian glass or Canadian-made porcelain insulators. I accept PayPal, or personal cheque from any member of ICON or any collector with whom I have dealt before. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or for more photos, and look through my other items or unsold sales stock to combine shipping on items. |
