With the spring being so dry this year, I decided to go try my luck on finding some threadless (Big Blue) shards since most of the ditches are mostly dried up now. I didn't find any threadless shards, but did find an unlisted CREB beehive, double patent, FEB not FAB without any shop numbers. Was surprise to find it in the lower part of the ballast in mint condition except for some miner pings and slight haziness to it. It was found on the other side of the tracks where I find the threadless shards. I've also found a few of the CD 126.3 A.U. shards in nice green on this same side a few years back. A while back there was an article in Crown Jewels about the A.U. Telegraph Company being use along the Wabash Line to Fort Wayne, IN which would be this same line I found the A.U.'s. See picture # 4 for A.U. shard. |
