This white crosstop has just been assigned a new # U-3023 thanks to Bob Berry and his confirmation of this small unipart from outside the USA. Most likely a Italian Richard Ginori product but was oddly found in Colorado. I have read about a test line that used Locke, Ohio Brass, Ginori, and other manufacturers of insulators on one line. This test line was ramped up to its max to see which porcelain would hold the volts. Ginori and Locke came out on top in the test performed in Colorado for high tension lines. Unfortunately this U is too small to take the voltage the bigger porcelain can. Being only 4.5 inches tall maybe it was used on another test. Just odd to find foreign stuff in the states. Any info would be great. |
