About six months ago I went down the rabbit hole of collecting contemporary artisan marbles. Initially I only collected vintage marbles. I still dabble in those, but decided they are just too small for the kind of visual stimulation I require in a collection. Modern artisan marbles typically range from 1" to 2.5" in diameter. Modern glass studio techniques have also produced a plethora of creative designs not found in vintage pieces. There are some great Facebook groups, including "Black Market Marbles" and "Marble Collectors Page." Marble artists and collectors are quite friendly and gracious, and there are some great shows. I'll be glad to correspond with any insulator collectors who also have an interest in marbles.
