Doesn't like sharing his home with a smallmouth bass fingerling. Greens are a particularly nasty dispositioned fish that don't tend to like anyone. Despite their aggressiveness, they are a very personable, inquisitive and intelligent fish. Mine comes to the front of the tank and patiently waits for me to put shiners in one at a time and he takes them whole from my fingers. One gulp and it's gone. Somehow I have miraculously been able to get this green sunfish- Lepomis Cyanellus and the Northern Longear sunfish- Lepomis Megalotis to coexist peacefully. However, the smallmouth bass I had to relocate to the Stonecat Madtom- Noturus Flavus catfish tank.
