I spotted one of Eric's pieces on one of those other sites where people think they have gold and price it accordingly. Thought I'd just post a reminder. In comparing similar insulators, let's not forget these two. If you don't know which one is $300 or which is the $3 one, you had better educate yourself. This was not posted as a guessing competition, merely a reminder. A number of these were put out into the hobby around 2014, unmarked and in several authentic colors with no way to distinguish them from the $300 ones.

I could tell you which is which, but if you have to research and find it out for yourself, you may remember what it is you need to look for a lot longer. .

The one on the right is fake. You can tell if you know what you are looking for... notice the dome is more conical than the authentic items, which have smooth curves to the dome. Also the authentic items have straight lower skirt sides, while the copy has a slightly convex skirt sides.
