During our [id=543054213;recent trip] to the Alaska area, we were warned not to fall asleep on the beaches. The Little Brown Mosquito is a local pest and until you see one in action, it's unimaginable. I witnessed this one landing on Gloria shortly after she had fallen asleep on the beach. Using her camera I snapped a quick picture of the beast. Within 5 seconds it had it's fill and was off. Gloria seemed a bit anemic after she woke, and indeed did faint when she saw the pictures.
