Embossed on side Pat'd. Feb 1901 W. & B. M'F'G. Co. New York. Always assumed that this was some kind of battery rest or battery jar type of insulator. It is clear glass that has black paint on it. Paint is old, and flaking with runs so I assumed someone once painted it. It has an open pontil on base. It measures approximately 6" tall. 3 3/8" wide at base, 2" outside center and 3" wide at top. The center hole goes almost to the base it is 1 1/2" in diameter. Any help greatly appreciated.
