Just thought I'd share my discovery of insulator boxes that can be purchased online from Uline. You will need to create an account to purchase these boxes. Ordering is painless and their shipping is amazingly quick!

I'm not permitted to post full website names here, so go to 'Uline' (you know the rest) and do a search at the top right of their web page for 'canning jar boxes'. The S-18942 and S-18944 boxes are ideal for insulators!

Basically, the 'S-18942' boxes fit smaller insulators and the 'S-18944' boxes fit larger insulators. These boxes must be purchased in multiples of 10, and no less than 10. Both box styles referenced below hold 12 insulators each.

Uline's 'half pint canning jar' boxes (S-18942) will fit your CD 102's thru 143's and 160's and 161's (IMPORTANT: Usable cell dimension for these boxes is: 3"x3"x4").

Uline's 'wide mouth canning jar' boxes (S-18944) will fit your CD's 145's, 154's, 162's & up (IMPORTANT: Usable cell dimension for these boxes is: 3 5/8" x 3 5/8" x 4 7/8")

If you have any doubt as to which boxes will hold certain insulators, please contact me and I will test them for you before you make your purchasing decision. The "usable cell dimension" is of utmost importance, noting that some CD 154's will only fit in the larger boxes if housed upside down, but they WILL fit.

NOTE: Richard Case has provided a detailed diagram of CD 257 mickey dimensions, being 4 1/2" x 5+". I'm recommending box S-13273 if you're heavy on mickeys and need a box for them! Box S-13273 has a usable cell dimension of 3 7/8" x 3 7/8" x 6" which would be sufficient if each mickey were turned 45 degrees within each cell in order to fit the ears diagonally.

Many thanks to RC for pointing out that boxes S-18942 and S-18944 do not fit mickeys.
