The warmer weather we've had in South Texas has caused all the wildflowers to start blooming and the trees to start budding. Here in South Texas we know that we're not going to have any more cold weather whenever the mesquite trees start budding and birds, like the cardinals and the purple martins, start appearing. My large aloe has put up it's spring flower stalk (pannicle) with small, yellow, tubular flowers which the humming birds love. My other aloe species haven't started flowering, but they will with warmer weather. They usually have reddish-pink flowers.
