Here's a rare porcelain no-tie multipart insulator with the top piece glazeweld together. This is a very cool and unusual style insulator found in Belgium but origin is unknown. Unmarked. Measures 2 1/8" x 3 1/4". Notice the crown has a step that is higher on one side over the other. The upper slot is shaped like a "V" to prevent cable slippage- similar to other rare no-tie insulators from circa 1900 transition period. Pinhole is 7/16" wide and only threaded half way into the pinhole and the rest is threadless. |
