A friend of mine was working on a project in Chile back in 2000. His job required him to walk quite a bit. When he was working in the Atacama desert he found this old insulator just laying on the ground. When he found out I collected insulators he passed it along to me. Still has the original wire and the metal pin is cemented in. Researching the marking on ICON I see a posting by Caleb Thimell that says this mark is most likely Chile State Telegraph made by Buller Jobson Brothers in England. Don't know the U number. Pretty Cool. Thanks Caleb and thanks to my friend for giving it to me.
