Following the evidently numerous failures of the Goddard patent cementing joint here in Ontario, CP obviously decided to develop a new cementing joint configuration, and went with the type that was used for the remainder of the company's operations. This small two-part is almost identical to [id=473701838;M-2312A] as far as overall shape, including crown detail, but the cement joint is a more modern type as found on the [id=473704146;M-2311]. This example is unmarked, and has a glaze more typical of "newer" 1930s CP products, with a motted black-brown top shell, and a uniform chocolate brown bottom shell. |
