I received these little Westinghouse NE-45 neon glow lamps today in the mail. Most NE-45 neon glow lamps have electrodes shaped like a small helmet or cap. I have never seen a neon glow lamp with tiny horseshoe shaped electrodes. I have some vintage Westinghouse lamp catalogs which feature many of the neon glow lamps produced, but none like these. Maybe this was a type of electrode that Westinghouse was experimenting with back in the days. Any input from the insulator gallery? |
