About 20 years ago when they up graded the signals at the St Cloud Interlocking, there was a request to bring the controlbox (knife switch) into the Northern Ontario Musenum, Last year i stopped in and found the old box just as i remembered,.You had a 3 minute walk from the interlocking signal, up to the knife switch which controlled the traffic at this automatic interlocking, then all lights were lite, you, d pull the switch, enter the limits and cross the diamond restore and go, If the opposeing railway was distinguished you, d wait 5 long impatient minutes then throw the switch and enter go and restore...Just a tidbit of what use to be,,,, |
