Poorly trimmed PHV U-243 or a U-270?

I pulled the brown piece on the right off of the free table at the Shrewsbury show last weekend. No one had picked it up, probably because they thought it was too ugly. It has a really clear PHV-type impression at the top of the pinhole. Matt Grayson, Ken Willick, and I compared it to some PHV pieces and we decided maybe it was a poorly trimmed U-243 (which I think is what the blue one on the left is) or U-267. But the size (3 1/8 x 3 1/2) and shape make it look more like a U-270, which is not listed as being a PHV style. Any speculation as to what it is is welcome.
