An expanded steel pole that once stood tall over the Big Thompson Canyon above US 34 between Loveland and Estes Park, CO. The canyon was damaged during the flooding that hit the Front Range in September 2013, and which forced the Loveland municipal to retire its hydro plant in the mountains, resulting in the 22kV being terminated a couple miles east, and the 4160V line (soon to be rebuilt to 12.5kV) is all that remains. |
