I picked up this nicely mottled dark brown M-2255 in a small collection here in London, ON earlier this month.

I've seen a huge number of these in grey surface throughout Ontario over the years as they were the standard insulator on all the early H.E.P.C. lower voltage distribution lines. I had never seen a brown example until now.

Any thoughts as to how many of these are out there? Kind of a nice looking insulator! Nice, mottled glaze and a compact and elegant lillyshell shape.
