I posted a picture of the Eye 450 watt self-ballasted mercury lamp awhile ago, so I decided to post a picture of it in operation. Gee, this thing is really bright and puts out a great deal of heat! I had to use a very dark filter over my camera lens to take a photo. The arc tube and ballast filament are clearly visible.
