I am not a big collector of overseas insulators, but someone walked into a recent show I was at with this one for sale, and I kind of liked it. It is cool glass, with lots of seed bubbles with junk and frothy swirls. It reportedly was found in Afghanistan by one of our troops, and brought back. I don't know any more though, like where exactly it came from. I tried looking it up in the Glass Insulators from Outside North America book, and on the NIA web site gallery, and I can't find one like it. Is it possible that this is a new report? The dimensions are 3-3/4" high by 3" diameter. Is there a CD number that it fits under, or could it be a new CD number? Base view: [id=439251747] |
