Picked up a few mud pieces today mostly getting some stuff with interesting splotchy glazes. This piece was there as well and I liked the lines of it and had not seen the mark before. The only marking anywhere on the piece is on the Crown and it is an incused capitol U. The insulator's shape is similar to a few pieces in Elton's books but doesn't seem to fit anything exactly. The piece measures 3 1/4" wide and 3 5/8" tall. I'll post a second picture of the mark. Could this be a foreign piece. If anybody has an idea please drop me a line.
