Well, not really. This was taken at night with a flood light outside. But the greatest effect I think is from the 24 frames per second of the camera. The snow was blowing fast and on each frame created a comet like streak thus causing the amount of white it recorded to be greater.

However it was swirling around a lot and pretty neat to see in person!
