BNSF's hottest train

Or at least probably their hottest. This is 9 199 10, still using the old Santa Fe numeric train symbol, near Edelstein, IL. The train ran from Chicago where it was given to the BNSF by Conrail. Coming from the east coast and ending up on the west coast, it was a true TransCon train. Here it is seen with plenty of power to make sure it gets there as fast as possible. 3-10-96.
