Back in February this year, I was travelling from Napier to Gisborne on New Zealand's East Coast. I was descending a range of hills when a flash of 'blue' caught my eye and being on the lookout for aerial treasures, I knew straight away what I'd seen. Backed up the car and through the car window, took these pics of what you will recognise as 'JD Suspensions' in a light blue colour. A day later I saw several strings of 4 on a pallet at the depot awaiting dumping. I salvaged what I could carry in the car before heading home. These 'Blue JD Discs' are all dated 1927 and it was a surprise to see them still up in the air. I also have a brown version dated 1921 which came from a different part of the country.
