Here we have a CD 297 FRED M. LOCKE [040]. The Price Guide identifies this as the "Narrow neck" variant. If you do a search of the ICON photo gallery for CD 297 you will see photos of both the "Narrow neck" and the regular neck which is considerably thicker. The color is light aqua and the glass has a fair amount of tiny bubbles which make it a little more sparkly. The only noticeable damage on this one is a 1/4" BB ding near the saddle groove which you can see in the photo. There are a couple of other tiny nicks but all three skirts are perfect and there are no chips or scrapes in the saddle groove or ears. This one looks like it wasn't used except for traces of tar in the threads. The wonderfully busy Locke embossing with four patent dates is quite clear.
