The Fishtrap Lake burn of yesterday (19 July) is said to have consumed 5000 acres. I ran right up to the easternmost lines as firecrews were were doing mop up ops at that location. I live in one of the most beautiful places on earth, but fire is a real problem and turns vast tacts of land into barren ugly. This fire is said to have been caused by idiots shooting at explosives out in the woods. This photo was taken at about 5 miles distance.
