At the Saturday evening NIA Banquet, our show host, Tommy Bolack, opens emotionally with a song and welcome speech, after learning just prior to the banquet that the caterer had the wrong date. Collectors and Tommy's staff jumped into action and a fine meal was served after the awards ceremonies. The emotions expressed at the closing speech were shrouded in joy as he thanked all present for attending and taking the glitch in stride. He received a standing ovation. One person at each table was given the centerpiece, either a Muncie or Coolie Hat, at the end of the evening.
