The two amber Hemingray No.8's seen here are made of the same color glass. This photo is good example of how the thickness of the glass can alter the appearance of color. If both pieces are turned up so that one is looking up the base to the dome through the entire height of the insulators, one could see that the glass was actually the same color. However, as seen here, one appears to be very yellow, where the other appears much more orange.
