This unusual strain has a standard sized pinhole (with zinc thimble) square in the center of it. It is marked on the end Lap (note spelling) / G42. Near the pinhole it is marked KZ or K7. Both markings appear to be ink stamps.

What was this used for? Has anyone ever seen one?
