Jim Crandal, far right, standing next to Ken Steffan, Columbia City 1993. Jim and Ken had both worked for Chicago Edison. Whenever Ken mentioned Jim (which was often) it was always as "my buddy Crandall". Jim was honest knowledgeable, soft spoken and always a help to the newer collectors. He had a great sense of humor. He was in the hobby for the fun of it. He was a wealth of stories. A Korean war veteran. The photo here was taken from in front of Jim's table and there is an open box full of the porcelain Cutter tree insulators he was a source/famous for ( I got mine from him at the 82 National). All I can write. So much to say. |
