We're talking about the car and the girl here ;-) Eco cars like this one are becoming the thing nowadays, especially the electric ones. The automobile shown was made by BMW (I believe) and was known as the Izzetta (or pronounced something like that!). These were produced from around 1960 onwards, for at least a few more years in Europe. A few of these cars made it to the US mainland. The one in this photo is a front-loader, thus the door entry is just like a refrigerator door. The crisper drawers slide beneath the seating area.
