Giant Green Insulators in Pisa Italy. While I was in Italy driving around Pisa in a Taxi I saw a row of three cross arm poles along a highway that went on for a half a mile that had these giant green insulators with no wires on them. As for why I couldn't get any it would have looked weird to ask the Taxi driver I would like to stop in that I'm going to strip this foreign telephone of it's insulators. I liked how Italy was filled to the gills with abandoned telephone and telegraph poles the only bad part about it was there where never any when I wasn't on a train or a plan or a cruise ship. There was however something in the Pisa port that might have been a telephone pole dumping ground but I didn't want to get busted for messing with it. So if any one wants to go to this spot I would like one the giant insulators for pointing it out.
