This is my long lost but found again pressed tin, battery operated race car I received as a Christmas present some 50 years ago. I found this again when we were going through my parents estate in 2011. When I first saw it again I was happy then very sad. Apparently another kid had thought that either standing or stomping on it was proper behavior. Maybe he or she couldn't get it to work...I wasn't around for that I'm sure! I brought it home and put it away in that special place in the basement, thinking what I might do to fix it or better yet how to. We'll I finally thought about it again and decided to try to restore it a few weeks ago. The picture here is after I dissassembled it, straightened the body and motor unit, getting the motor running and reassembling it into the body. The axles were both severely bent with one tire assy broken. All that has been straightened and secured. More to come....
