Lately with the super cold weather(-30 to -40) overnight, we have had an invasion of Texas sparrows to our feeder. The birds are actually sharptail grouse that have come out of the surrounding bush looking for food sources. Thanks to the eagle eyes of Chip McElwee I have revised the original description of the birds which I thought were willow ptarmigan.
