I do not collect these but have been told by a longtime enthusiast of vintage traffic lights that this light was made of bronze and only three or four are known to this day!

Like old cars (and their parts), vintage street lights, utility pole brackets, other street furniture and so forth that some of us adore (and specialize in collecting) a lot of these metal, outdated things of yesteryears were long ago agressively junked during scrap drives during our previous wars as well as during economic recessions for an extra buck or two....
