Here is a pic taken with the simple setup here [id=390932560] AND elevating the darker colored insulator up off of the stage. This allows light under and inside the piece and brings out the color. This is how we see them on poles anyway (except for the dark pin inside them!).

You can see the clear item I used peeking out from below the skirt.
