This item is used with heavy insulated Primary Cables of 15,000 volts in Narrow Profile distribution line construction where restrictive Right of Way or heavy tree population prevents conventional overhead line construction. These are hung on a 3/8 or 1/2 inch Extra High Strength (EHS) galvanized steel strand using the smaller wire groove and secured in place with a tie, then the 3 heavy insulated cables are supported in the larger grooves.
