Portland, Oregon's weirdest piece of mud ... The U-383 Fred Locke (on the right) flanked by the scarce U-380 Fred. Three of these weird little Minnie Mouse helmets were found on the side of an old dry cleaners in the early 1980's in Portland, OR . They are the only three U-383 specimens ever reported . This stile was never catalogued by Locke and no other information about them has surfaced to date. they were made in a two part mold with a mold line and there colour suggests late 1903-04 production.
