Charles was an avid insulator collector and like a brother to me. We hunted many times and went to many shows together through the years. In 2001, he wrote an article in the December issue of Crown Jewels of the Wire documenting our experiences hunting insulators together titled "Hunting Insulators in the Mississippi Mud. This article won "best article of the year" as voted on by the CJOW readers. It can be found by going to the archive section of the Crown Jewels web site. Charles was a very smart and clever individual. He could solve any problem regardless of how difficult. He served as NIA ethics chairman for several years and contributed to many discussions on ICON. Charles was diagnosed with cancer in 2011 and passed away on July 19, 2013 at age 54.

Charles, thanks for all the great memories and I miss you dearly! Rest in peace my friend!
