Shown is a GE, DS-6 polyphase switchboard watthour meter. This meter came from the Gulf Island Power Plant outside of Lewiston, Maine. I researched the history of this power plant and it is still in use. This meter was taken out of service in 1971 and I'm guessing, had been part of Maine's Historical museum or society. It was installed one year after the power plant and dam were completed in 1926. The meter is in very good condition and the front panel is made of solid copper. Quite heavy! {e}
