The power transmission lines were insulated with fog type suspensions along the I-4 Corridor between Pleasant Hill through Antioch/Concord. To my surprise was the replacement of one of the fog type suspension strings with a Decker Green Sediver String.

As we know these lime green suspensions were mainly used in and around Tracy, CA and were renamed Decker Green in honor of Jim Decker who salvaged as many as he could when the transmission line was re-insulated and the Sedivers were discarded. Could it be that not all of the glass suspensions were thrown out? Perhaps many are sitting in some utility yard nearby waiting to replace some older suspensions? Close up [id=377456824]
