David Dahle posted [id=374554376;fra-g-ile] picture a couple weeks ago. This shows the 'bolt' thing on a CP porcelain insulator that I had previously asked about. This is a complete unit with a bracket that simply clamps to a wood crossarm. Above it, is the new, updated version. A composite insulator with a copper L clamped on the end. The other end is threaded to scrwew onto a fiberglass arm.

The picture David posted is a common sight in Ontario. A dozen of these were noted during a recent 60 mile drive.
