Ohio Brass Multipart

These multiparts were used on early style catenary bridges between Woodlawn and Stamford. The unusual metal cap was used to fasten the messenger wire with two "J" bolts. The messengers were used to support the contact wire with triangular spacers. This specimen was found much farther east of Stamford and was once attached to a large metal pin and support which would have been scrapped if it had not been rescued in time.
